I wear chaps when I ride my motorcycle. That's more of a practical choice than a fashion statement, but why I wear chaps isn't really important. What is important is this:
I always feel naked when I'm putting on my chaps to go home after work.
That doesn't make any sense to me. I'm fully dressed and just adding another layer. Regardless, I've been tempted on numerous occasions to yell at my coworkers, "Don't look at me! Can't you see I'm changing here? What's wrong with you people?"
Random, but true.

I actually feel the same way about putting on suits when I have to go to conventions for work. It’s funny how extra clothing can make you feel more exposed.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that as a fellow biker i used to wear leather jeans, until they got too tight, or rather I expanded beyond their perameters (damn you constants of time and space).
Some guy tried to pick me up in Amsterdam once when i was wearing them, too!
You wrote something non-masculine giggle worthy and didn't actually post it? I have no words for the disappointment I feel right now.
Alastair,
I'll probably take off word verification in the next couple days. It continually annoys me.
Also, I'll make sure not to wear my chaps in Amsterdam should I ever go there.
MM,
Always good to hear I'm funny on occasion. Even better to hear that I'm funny on an occasion I tried to be funny.
